The framed photographs bothered him.
Easton Fairchild finished the last coat of coral paint in the children’s bedroom. He took his time rolling up the heavy tarp and sliding it off the lacquered wood planks. He did this for two reasons — he was paid by the hour, and he didn’t want to set those photos back up on their dresser.
